Why is there a surge in the quest for home installed water filtration systems?
According to a recent US Consumer Water Report "the demand for consumer water filtration and air cleaning systems is projected to increase 5.6 percent per year to $1.5 billion in 2012".

It is reported there that the "gains will be driven by consumer concerns about the quality of the air and water in the home, and greater awareness of the healthful and aesthetic benefits of these systems".

Among other things the Report informs that "Water purification systems that feature conventional filtration media accounted for the majority of demand for water systems in 2007, with 76 percent of sales value".

Furthermore it is stated that "growth is largely dependent on the quality (or the perceived quality) of local tap water supplies. Demand for water purification systems will also benefit from a trend to switch away from bottled water and toward treated tap water".

Although driven by a massive trend, this evolution in consumer preferences would not take place were it not for a perceived need and a will, quite common among average citizens, to improve the drinking water quality, to provide to the family better health conditions.

What was formerly looked at as a needless luxury is now perceived as an essential necessity. One does not take chances with health matters anymore.

As taking action is quite easy, deciding to do something about the health of your own family should not be exceedingly difficult. We believe that some research would help in dispelling doubts about one's choices, as official documentation, in the form of approved laboratory reports, among other public statements, is easily available.

What may be needed in certain cases may be only the last gentle nudge, helpful in overcoming apathy, laziness, or final doubts as to the opportunity to perform a long needed improvement step.

In fact it should not be that hard to be ready to embrace the benefits of better drinking water to health and well being at a very modest cost, if you take into account the economy realized by abandoning bottled water no more needed.
Don't linger any more, go ahead and do it!
